Piton was responsible for the mechanical design and prototyping of this hand held medical instrument for Midmark Diagnostics. One in a series of PC-connected diagnostic instruments, this spirometer utilizes a disposable flow-through tube to measure a patient's lung capacity. The mechanical design incorporates ergonomic and styling elements in a user-friendly package: important for a patient-held device.
